Transition Flow

From Basic Flow to Watsu 1

Expand your Watsu practice through fluid transitions, deeper positions, listening and presence.

34 hours · Prerequisite: Watsu Basic

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Transition Flow is one of the most important courses in the Watsu training pathway.

You will review the Basic Flow and begin studying the Transition Flow. Together, these two forms complete the teaching module of Watsu 1.

The forms gradually expand through a series of fluid movements connected into a long, continuous sequence. You will learn how to move from one position to another with greater ease, continuity and awareness.

You will also discover some of the more intimate and complex positions of Watsu, including the Cradles and Seats, developing the body mechanics, sensitivity and confidence needed to work with them safely and comfortably.

THE EXPERIENCE

Transition Flow combines structured learning with experiential moments of listening, meditation and awareness.

In the water, you will explore how individual movements can become connected through fluid transitions, allowing the session to develop into a longer and more continuous flow.

On land, practices such as Tantsu offer another way to explore listening, presence, support and connection.

Transition Flow requires practice and supervision as you integrate these more complex movements and positions. With continued practice, it prepares you to progress toward Watsu 2, if you choose to continue your training.
